Tihar
Tihar is also known as deepawali, Yamapanchak or swanti.It is a five day long Hinduism festival celebrated in Nepal and in the Indian states of Assam, Sikkim and Darjeeling district of west Bangal. It is the festival of lights as diyas are lit inside and outside the houses to make it illuminate at night. It is popularly known as Swanti among the Newars and deepawali among the madhesis. Tihar is considered to be great importance as it shows reverence to not just the human and the gods, but also the animals like cows, crows, and dogs maintain an intimate relationship with human.
My experience of tihar
This time my tihar went just amazing right from the first day of tihar. This year, I also played  deusi and bhailo with my friends . We were altogether 5 . We were successful in acquiring Rs.5000. We did dance and also sang tihar song.As tihar has five days celebration, I would like to start my experience from the first day of tihar.
Kaag tihar
On this day , we didn't do much special, but we offered delicious food items to crows on a leaf.
Kukur tihar
On this day, I worshipped dog with Tika and Garland made with flowers. I gave it delish food stuffs to eat.
Laxmi puja
On this day, we cleaned our house. I was really very excited on this day. I plastered my hose with cow dung and red clay. I also made footprints of goddess Laxmi and also colourful rangoli with colored rice, dry flour and coloured sand in order to welcome wealth and prosperity.We worshipped cows in the morning as well as we worshipped goddess Laxmi withpaan, Bhai masala, and other beauty products and sweets and so on. We kept colourful lights in our home. In the night, we lightened oil lamps on doorways and windows.
Bhai Tika
On the day of bhaitika, !e and my sister put Tika to our cousin brother as our brother is in abroad. We put Tika in his forehead, circled him by dripping oil on the floor from a copper pitcher and applied oil on his head as well as applied seven- colour Tika in his forhead. And he also performed same tradition with an exchange of gifts.

Dashain 

Introduction

As our vacation started from 2074/6/4 , we students of grade 8 were assigned a task in which we were told to post our dashain and tihar experience in our respective blog for the allocation of 10 marks as project work after the completion of dashain festival🎉🎉🎉.So , I am going to write about my dashain experience. But initially, as dashain is regarded the greatest festival of Hinduism, I would like to write something about dashain.DashainDashain is the longest and most celebrated festival on Nepal. Dashain has it's different names. It is called dashain,bijaya dashami and dashera. The way of celebration and name different but most Nepal celebrate it for 15 days with same zeal and enthusiasm. Dashain is the celebration of victory of good over evil.Thos festival symbolizes that good always prevail over bad.My experience of dashain

Our school declared 1 month long holiday. And, I was quite overjoyed and enthusiastic for dashain celebration.After all, it arrives once in a year.I had just magnificent experience since from the day of ghatastapana.On the day of Ghatastapana,my elder brother kept grains like wheat, maize, barley and buck wheat in a dark room where there was absence of direct rays from the sun. My elder brother used to worship and water it only by holy water and used to take care of it for six days so that it could grow 5 to 6 inches long grasses which is called jamara .On the 7th day (fulpati), we bought two goats and sacrificed one goat on that day.We sacrificed goat early in the morning at sharp 4:6 A.M.Next day on Maha Asthami , we sacrificed another goat. Next day on Maha Nawami(9th day) we worshipped the machine like cycle, motorcycle and so on.Eventually, the day came which I was eagerly waiting for. That day was 10th day of dashain ( bijaya dashami). I had spectacular experience on that day.This year the time to put Tika was at sharp 11:55A.M..I was enthusiastically waiting that time. Finally, the time came, we all family members assembled and put Tika and jamara as well as received inestimable blessings from the elder members of the family.Whether it was cleaning house, putting Tika, waking up early and worshipping good everyday, I had just splendid experience this time. All of our family members gathered and put Tika,jamara and receive blessings from the elders,it was an amazing opportunity for family gathering as well. On the day of dashain, people forgot all personal enmity between them and just gather and make the splendid moment on this day. I had a lot of fun and enjoyment this year. I spent valuable time with my family. This year was my best dashain ever. I had ravishing feeling on that day. However, I didn't go to my village. But celebrating dashain in Kathmandu  just made my day special and spectacular this time.
